i'll drop a thought
The rain is one of the most illustrious life-speaking symbols we encounter on God's creation. What is amazing is no matter the culture, since the days of the great flood, people have understood rain as the natural act of the heavens outpouring of life. It is through this cosmic offering the reality of pain and joy is poetically expressed. The natural earthly elements take shape and interact with God's captivating creation. The rain pours, Discomfort makes her way known, and when all is said and done, flowers bloom, birds chirp, hearts revive, the rainbow shines, promises are proclaimed and ALL creation is more alluring than moments before.

Beautifully expressed, friend. Illustrious, alluring, captivating, promise…
The rain brings a song of kisses to the lips of my heart. I like to walk unprotected a bit before finding shelter, and as I feel the first drops make their way through the forest of hair on my head to its bed of follicle soil I imagine I am watered by God. By a fire-lit hearth’s edge I would sit with my lover and speak of our joys, safe from the showers without, and sound in each other’s arms. Joined by good friends, warm books, and fine games, we wait patiently as the world is rinsed and nourished.
One question: Who is Discomfort? Is it she who herds us with her tears toward shelter, who cries to us from the clouds?
Discomfort is often overlooked by most. Most believe she is out to dismantle all parts of life from the trivial to the the significant. But in all reality She is the one who makes us move towards the place we enjoy most.
[Is it she who herds us with her tears toward shelter, who cries to us from the clouds?] She serves as both.
